This loosely themed singing session will provide plenty of scope for interpretation. The songs may be traditional or contemporary, and they may tell of the experiences of the Irish people (from Camden to Connemara, Roscommon to Raglan Road, Galway to Graceland and more!) or of other folks’ experiences of Ireland itself.

I’m a UK-based singer; my repertoire, though classified “contemporary tradition”, encompasses traditional and modern-day ballads, shanties, parodies and songs from non-folk genres. To me, the sharing of, and engagement in, the song and its message are paramount. Since lockdown, I have participated extensively in online singing circles and other virtual (Zoom) events staged on both sides of the pond, including hosting/co-hosting and leading themed workshops at various song-centred weekends including Camp Harmony and FSGW Getaway. Although I primarily sing solo, I also enjoy co-singing with fellow-singers in the UK, US and Australia.
