St. Patrick's Month Event:
Let the Shenanigans Begin!

Picture
The 38th annual Afternoon in Ireland will take place on March 15th, 2026 at Odd Man Rush Brewing in Eagle River.  This year we will be exploring the theme of Irish Humor.

Afternoon in Ireland has been a focal point of the Irish Club Alaska’s St. Patrick’s Celebration for nearly four decades. The show always features the best of local Irish musicians, storytellers, dancers and poets.  This year’s show will feature Jubilee, The Derry Aires, The Irish Dance Academy of Alaska, Philip Price, Laughing Molly, and many more in concert.  Because all the acts will be exploring Irish Humor, this family friendly show promises to be rollicking  good craic.

The show starts at 2 pm.  Odd Man Rush is located at 10930 Mausel Street in Eagle River.  Menu items available for purchase.  Admission is free!

Watch An Afternoon in Ireland 2025

A longstanding Irish Club of Alaska tradition, An Afternoon in Ireland is a show of song, music, poetry, dance, and more featuring local performers held on a Sunday afternoon in March. The theme of the 37th annual An Afternoon in Ireland production was "The Otherworld: Celebrating Fairies, Leprechauns, Selkies, and the Banshee." If you missed this year's show, here's your chance to watch it, thanks to a generous donation from ICA President Kate O'Dell.
