Themed Singaround:  Placenames in Ireland with Paul Clarke (UK)
3:30pm - 5:00pm (90 minutes)
FREE!

Picture
Surely all those mellifluous-sounding Celtic placenames will have inspired poets and songwriters, both traditional and contemporary, to lyrical flights.  Come and share those you know, or are prompted to research in response to this, with the rest of us.  Would be good if you'd dug up any mini-gems of info about the places mentioned in your songs, too, for a bit of context.  Light-touch, humorous hosting. Preferably, prioritize material mentioning many places, over a 34-verse ballad referencing e.g. Dublin once!

Paul Clarke has an eclectic repertoire and enjoys connections of all sorts, hence interest in what emerges from mixed, themed music events like this.  Since 2017, he’s run FOCSLE Music [www.focsle.org] – itself currently Zooming during “all this” – a ‘broad-brush’-outlook folk club in Southampton, southern England, with roots dating back to 1963.
